We stood at the door for a while unnoticed (on a Saturday lunchtime) even though I smiled at a waitress to try and suggest our presence to her. Maybe she just thought I was being nice.
Then when we were seated we were handed the menu and left alone, all without a word.
I try to be unbiased, but that start got my review off rather negatively.
For starters, my friend - who doesn't eat meat or dairy - ordered Chips and Dips with Guacamole (£2.95), and I ordered the Tex + Mex Spring Rolls (£5.95), shown below left. They weren't really spring rolls, and were quite average-tasting. I also wasn't a huge fan of the way they had made the Guacamole which came with my 'spring rolls', since it was quite onion-y. My friend's guacamole with his starter however, was not.

For our main course, he ordered a veggie bean chilli burrito (£10.95), which came with the rice underneath the wrap (as far as I'm aware a burrito is supposed to have the rice, beans and everything else stuffed into it). I ordered the Chargrilled Cajun Chicken breast enchillada (£12.95) - shown above right - which was a baked version of the burrito, but two instead of one, and with the rice underneath again.
Sorry to be so negative, but my food was very underwhelming in taste. I was impressed with neither the service nor the food (with the exception of the Churros for dessert, which were pretty great), and only really liked the decor of the restaurant, if I am to find something to compliment. We waited a very long time for our main courses too, and it was the sort of level of busy that you'd expect for a Saturday afternoon - nothing too exceptionally manic.
For a restaurant that has only been open for about a month, I feel they've got a lot to do to build up their loyal Bristol customers. It will certainly take me a fair amount of persuading to go there again.
