So this is me...
Oh hey! So this is the thinking behind this blog..
I moved to Bristol (the UK one, not one of the many in America) when I was 12 with my family who dragged me kicking and screaming out of Hackney, London.
I was not happy with them. In London I had everything exactly how I thought I wanted it and I didn't want anything to change. I thought London was the coolest place ever and that I was thus automatically equally cool for living there.
When I got to Bristol I didn't know a soul, I had a new school to start in, and suddenly no social life because all my friends were now 200 miles East on the M4.
I'm now 23 and have been living here for 10 years and I now (although it took a while) love Bristol to bits.
Bristol has blossomed more and more in the years I've lived here (unfortunately not as a direct result of my arrival) and has really made its presence known on not just the national map (when I first told Londoners I was moving here they thought I was off to Brighton and had never heard of Bristol). I have made some of my best friends here in Bristol and have had countless amazing memories and some of the best times of my life.
I'm a student now and admittedly I wanted to leave Bristol for University (but only to move out of my family home) so I headed north to Birmingham. On a side note, Birmingham has nothing on Bristol. Just saying. But having survived my second year at Aston University, I am now on a 12 month placement back home in Bristol - yes living with my parents (so far I haven't decided I made a terrible decision).
So here's Bristol through my eyes, what's going on, and what I think of what went on. Plus some food/restaurant reviews thrown in because don't we love a good face-scoff!
