Sunday 6th December @ 3pm
Below are two amazing donations to the event already!! So exciting to see it all coming together.
Gavyn Emery has organised Keep Bristol Warm on Sunday 6th December 2015 in Bristol's Bearpit (the underpass between Broadmead, Stokes Croft, and Bristol Bus Station). By day this may look like a trendy spot with its new Bearrito Bus, food market stalls, and table tennis, but by night many homeless people make this location their stay for the night.
It's simple - all you have to do is bring a backpack and yourself!
Fill this backpack with anything you think would be of use to a homeless person in Bristol.
Possible items include:
The key thing to remember is not to make the rucksack too heavy, as this is something that the person who receives it will be carrying around. Any backpacks not used on the day at the event will be donated to Julian House Night Shelter, so will by no means go to waste!
As I'm sure you are aware, there are many homeless men and women in Bristol, so the need for you and your rucksack is great. England can get bitterly cold at winter, and that's even with central heating and a roof over your head.
If today is the only day you ever give to a homeless person in your life, you will be making a huge difference. Maybe you are reluctant to give money, so why not give exactly what they'll be needing the most to make this winter that bit more bearable.
